Resources you will need this term are:

During this term, you should focus on building the positive habits in support of your CAS projects.

You should generate some form of reflection approximately every two weeks.

  • Use the Maintaining a Project Guidelines to help you with:
    • Getting started with CAS.
    • The quantity and quality of projects.
    • The quality and regularity of reflections.

Remember that the expectation is that you are:

  • engaged in projects 3-4 hours per week and reflecting regularly, ideally, about every two weeks or so.
  • Reflections should briefly detail:
    • One or more specific experiences in the project.
    • Action taken.
    • What was LEARNED (think LO´s) from the experience and handling it.
    • What (s)he is gaining from the project.

This term, your Advisor will:

  • continue to monitor your engagement, progress and reflection on Managebac.
  • Periodically, especially at mid-term and at the end of term, your Advisor will update your status as either
    • Below Expectations
    • Meeting Expectations
    • Exceeding Expectations

This will be based on evidence that you have:

  • Included all required information in the project details.
  • Completed of the initial interview.
  • Demonstrated an adequate level of engagement. Three (3) to four (4) hours per week.
  • Demonstrated a consistent pattern of reflection focused on the LO`s identified.

At the end of this term, your progress toward completion of the CAS program will be evaluated based on:

  • Level of engagement
  • Reflections
  • Responsiveness to notes from your CAS Advisor or the CAS Coordinator

If the requirements are not up to expectation by the term deadline, there will be a note on Managebac and in your Tutor comments that indicates the reason and and what can be done to address it.
