Responsible to:

Project supervisor and CAS Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organization and coordination:
    • Planning in advance of activity or event
    • Publicity Pre-event to recruit and train volunteers from within the school community.
    • Facilitation of collaborative planning meetings to develop and implement all aspects of the project.
    • Debriefing with volunteers and supervisor after implementation to make recommendations for future modification or extension.

Expectations

  • Collaborate with your team to raise awareness of your project and promote participation throughout the school community.
  • Collaborate with your team to assure that engagement is reliable and supports the needs of the project.
  • Communicate with the project supervisor(s) to get approval before acting, in order to lead the school community and assure that:
    • volunteer engagement is reliable and meets the needs of the project and team.
    • the project complies with all school, safety and security policies.
  • Help team members to develop their own leadership skills and meet their own personal goals.
